Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data scinskas.com collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written to be read, so it is short.

Who is responsible

Kostas Scinskas, independent web designer and developer, Vilnius, Lithuania. Email: [email protected]. Write to this address with any question about your data.

What I collect and why

When you contact me. If you send the contact form or an email, I receive your name, email address, company (if you add it), the type of help you need, your budget and timeline (if you choose them) and your message. I use this only to reply to you and to prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).

When you browse the site. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. I use it only as anonymous statistics and do not try to identify visitors.

Security logs. The hosting provider and Cloudflare process IP addresses and request data to keep the site available and protected from attacks.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries and emails: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together.
• If we work together, project correspondence and invoices are kept as long as Lithuanian accounting law requires.
• Google Analytics data: 14 months.

Who else processes it

• Hostinger (website hosting and email).
• Cloudflare (content delivery and security).
• Google (Google Analytics).

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. I never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Cookies

Apart from the Google Analytics cookies above, the site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and I will reply within 30 days.

If you think your data is handled wrongly, you can complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
